Andrea Kay Cornered

There’s no new sign yet but the apartment complex at the corner of Cleveland Street and Garland Avenue in Fayetteville has new owners and a new name.

The Andrea Kay Apartments are now known as the Campus Corner Apartments. The apartments were sold to a group of local investors led by Stephen Mansfield on Aug. 5 for $540,000. The apartments had been owned by Leon and Catherine Edens for the past 15 years.

Other changes are planned for the building. The new owners plan to renovate the apartments and market them to students at the University of Arkansas. Currently, the building is fully occupied and the renovations will be completed as each apartment becomes empty.

The 18,558-SF apartment building had been listed by Nickle-Hill Group Inc. of Fayetteville for $550,000 and had been on the market less than six months. All 28 units of the building are two-bedroom, one-bath apartments. The apartments were built in 1960.
