Neffer Nefferland
Kent Neff, a former Rogers resident who now lives in Miami, and Dr. Jeff Erickson of Rogers plan to begin construction by the end of July on a 300-acre residential subdivision on Beaver Lake overlooking Prairie Creek cove.
Sunset Bay will contain 50 upscale houses (priced $250,000 and up) built by Neff and Erickson. In addition, another 80 lots will be for sale so owners can construct their own homes there.
Neff says 200 acres of the site will be developed immediately, with the work being completed in six to eight months. The other 100 acres will be developed later.
Neff says the project will cost him $4 million, but lot sales alone should generate $6 million.
Neff currently splits his time between Rogers and Miami, where he is working on an $11 million building for the United Teachers of Dade, the county’s fourth-largest teachers’ union.
Neff’s father, Cleman Neff, was also a Rogers developer.
