Virtual Bust

Some things never die, like our interest in the carved bust of H.G. “Jack” Frost that, until a few months ago, graced the entrance of the Harvey and Bernice Jones Center for Families in Springdale.

The red granite bust was removed last summer following revelations that Frost had apparently paid himself $1.6 million while overseeing the Jones Trust. Officials have declined repeatedly to say where the bust was moved, making us even more curious.

Well, now it seems that the bust hasn’t completely disappeared after all. Cruising the Internet, we stopped in at the Jones Center web page, which features a picture of the structure and its landscaping, complete with the Frost bust. If the blooming flowers hadn’t tipped us off that the photo wasn’t new, the presence of the bust did.
