Centerton has a new full-service floral shop that will deliver all the way from Fayetteville to the state line.

In addition to fresh, dried and silk floral arrangements for any occasion, Centerton Florist also carries balloons and gift or gourmet baskets.

Owner Lori Taylor has been in the floral industry for 17 years. Before moving to Arkansas, she owned a store in Fulson, Calif. Taylor has florists’ credentials from California’s American River College.

“Flowers are a luxury item. They are not something people have to have,” Taylor says. “So when people call and order flowers, you know it is something they really want. I like providing that service to the community.”

She plans to designate certain weeks of the year as charitable weeks, when a portion of the profits from each order will be given to a particular charity. The orders for flowers and ribbons for the funeral of Rich Owen, a Benton County deputy who was killed in the line of duty last fall, contributed to the fund set up in his name.
