Vincenza?s Moving to Fayetteville
‘Vincenza’s, an Italian restaurant and grocery store that has operated in Tontitown for 2 1/2 years, is moving to Fayetteville.
‘On Aug.15, owner/chef Vince Pianalto plans to move his business into the building in Colt Square that currently houses Muley’s restaurant. Muley’s, an American grill, will close July 31 after 13 years of operation when owner David Johnson retires from the restaurant business, says Pianalto. Muley’s was the first business in Colt Square. Pianalto plans to rent the building with an option to buy.
‘In addition to Pianalto, co-owners of Vincenza’s include his sister, Rachelle Jones, and his mother, Wanda Pianalto.
‘Vincenza’s began as a tiny lunch place and store in the back room of the Tontitown Flea Market. The restaurant has since expanded and included dinner service.
‘At the new location, Pianalto says he will work harder to promote the Italian delicatessen and homemade Italian breads. Customers will be able to watch workers make pasta on the site. The store will continue to sell homemade and imported Italian foods.
‘Pianalto worked at Muley’s from 1988 to 1993, at first being too young, at 20, to serve alcohol to customers and eventually graduating to manager.
‘”I’m telling everybody I’m going back home,” he says.
