Underwood?s Jewelers
With an operating budget of about $1,000 and little inventory, Bill Underwood took the watch-making skills he learned in college and the gemology training he received in the Navy to a little 900-SF building back in 1957, eventually turning it into one of the nation’s top jewelry stores.
Underwood’s Jewelers has been a fixture on Fayetteville’s Dickson Street for 40 years and, with its strong bond with University of Arkansas students and industry professionals, it has risen to the stature of the Natural State’s answer to Tiffany’s in New York.
