Outside Again

Sportsmen may recall the writings of Bryan Hendricks, who traded his job covering outdoors for daily newspapers a couple of years ago for an indoor job in Atlanta with Game & Fish Publishing Co.

Now, after 13 months inside as an editor, Hendricks is moving back to Arkansas and to the outdoors. He has landed a book contract with Out There Press of Asheville, N.C., which plans to publish “Arkansas: A Guide to Back Country Travel and Adventure” next year.

The book will cover such outdoor activities as hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and rock climbing ? the latter a new addition for the series of southern state guides published by Out There Press.

For the past 13 months, Hendricks has been editing four magazines: “North Carolina Game & Fish,” “South Carolina Game & Fish,” “Virginia Game & Fish” and “Tennessee Sportsman.”
