Fox Children’s Academy takes an equational approach to daily childcare. Kristen Gregg, assistant director/office manager, says all children have interaction with assistants throughout the day.

“We stay involved with our infants by talking and singing to them,” Gregg says. “Our toddlers and preschoolers work with shapes and colors. We learned about insects by making bug cookies. It’s all learning by fun.”

Gregg says all members of Fox’s teaching staff have teaching degrees and that the new director was a social worker for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. The adult-to-student ratio complies with state standards, she says. Owner Sandy Fox, Gregg’s mother and a pediatric nurse, always keeps a eye on the children.

“The parents will come to pick up their children and my mom will say, ‘I listened to her lungs and she sounds a little congested,'” Gregg says. “She really enjoys it.”

‘Fox will enroll up to 15 infants starting with 6-week-olds, 16 toddlers, 40 preschoolers and 10 after-school-care children under the age of 13.
