Fantastic Flicks to Open New Store in July

ob and Pat Pruitt will be closing their Fantastic Flicks video rental store at 800 S. Thompson in Springdale to open a larger store in Signature Square, a 50,000-SF shopping center recently constructed by Schmieding Brandon Enterprises near the intersection of U.S. Highway 412 and Arkansas Highway 265 in Springdale.
At 5,600-SF, the new store will be twice the size of the existing Springdale shop, says Karen Acuff, who manages the Fantastic Flicks locations in Fayetteville and Springdale. Both outlets are owned by the Pruitts.
Acuff says the new store should be open by late June.
In addition to renting videos, the store will sell videos and rent VCRs and computer games. Acuff says the new store will carry about 15,000 videos and games.
Gary Brandon, one of the developers of the property, says the Bank of Arkansas and Snip’N Clip, a hair salon, plan to open branches in Signature Square during June. Mazzio’s Pizza, which opened in mid-May, is the shopping center’s largest tenant.
