Homes Sales Down, Prices Jump in July
Arkansas home sales fell slightly in July compared to the same month in 2015, but average sales price of homes rose nearly 2 percent in 2015, according to Arkansas Realtors Association.
Home sales in Arkansas decreased to 3,124, from 3,129. Average sales price increased to $174,021, from $170,695.
Benton County, with the most houses sold of any Arkansas county, saw home sales rise nearly 8 percent to 583 in July, from 542 in the same month last year. Average sales price, which was the highest of any Arkansas county, increased more than 6 percent to $226,582, from $213,249.
In Washington County, home sales jumped 8 percent to 364, from 337. Price fell over 1 percent to $191,340, from $193,763.
Sebastian County’s home sales increased nearly 7 percent to 144, from 135. Price soared nearly 20 percent to $172,210, from $143,851.
In Crawford County, home sales increased 16 percent to 65, from 56. Price rose almost 4 percent to $118,451, from $114,250.
Carroll County saw home sales drop more than 11 percent to 25, from 28. Price jumped over 20 percent to $171,544, from $142,736.
Madison County had home sales increase 10 percent to 11, from 10. Price rose nearly 36 percent to $185,031, from $136,220.
