The first Cotton Patch Cafe in Arkansas is being built on a commercial lot south of Lowe’s on U.S. Highway 412 in Siloam Springs.

“We are excited to expand our home cooking to the state of Arkansas,” said Kathy Nelson, CEO of Cotton Patch Cafe.

Construction of the 4,500-SF cafe at 3451 U.S. Highway 412 East is underway, and it might be open as early as December, depending on the weather.

Cotton Patch Cafe is a “hometown brand, born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas,” marketing director Liz Phillips said. “When we feel like home, that’s where we go.”

The restaurant business operates 45 cafes, mostly in Texas, and is in the midst of expanding, with plans to open five to seven new restaurants annually. While locations have yet to be determined, more Arkansas cafes are likely in the future.
