Springdale financial services firm The Point Financial Group Inc. is planning a move across town to a new building.

Company founder and president Jim Blount told Whispers he’s planning to develop an approximately 9,000-SF office building on Lynch’s Prairie Court in Har-Ber Meadows, next to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Point Financial has been headquartered in 3,500 SF of leased space in a building owned by Ben Israel at 4700 S. Thompson St., across from the Springdale Country Club, since 2001.

“For us, it’s a desire to be more accessible to our clients in Benton County,” Blount told Whispers. He estimated about 45 percent of the firm’s business resides in Benton County, 35 percent in Washington County, and 20 percent outside the two-county area.

Blount said his company and its nine employees will occupy about 5,000 SF of the single-story building, and the rest will be available for lease.

Collins Haynes of Rogers is the building designer, W. Wheat Construction Co. of Springdale is the builder and Legacy National Bank of Springdale is financing the project.

Blount said he expects to break ground this summer.
