Fayetteville restaurateur Jeff Hodges is expanding his brand north, to Benton County.

Hodges, who owns and operates Fayetteville-based restaurant/sports bar chain Foghorn’s, tells us he is planning to open a new location at 2221 W. Walnut St. in Rogers, formerly a Mazzio’s restaurant location.

Hodges, through his 5 Dogs Investments LLC, acquired the 4,500-SF building, situated off Walnut behind Andy’s Frozen Custard, a couple of months ago for $390,000.

Foghorn’s, founded in 2004, has two locations in Fayetteville and one in Springdale. Hodges said the Rogers property has nearly 2 acres of parking, and renovations to the building will begin soon. He is hoping to have it open by the first quarter of 2016.

Key Architecture Inc. of Fayetteville and Truly Professional Construction of Joplin, Missouri, will lead the project. First National Bank of Paragould is providing financing.

In light of the company’s growth, Hodges said he is also moving his corporate office to a more centralized location at 1708 Sunset Ave. in Springdale. Hodges is under contract to buy the 2,511-SF office building, which is listed for $150,000.
