Real Estate Purchase Leaves Collier with Leftover Glass Inventory
Need some glass? A windshield, perhaps? Give Mel Collier a call.
Collier, who owns Collier Drug Stores Inc. of Fayetteville, recently bought the building on North College Avenue that housed Binswanger Glass (see Real Deals on Page 17).
The building was far from empty at the time of sale. Collier said from the looks of it, Binswanger, a 145-year-old national company based in Tennessee, left its inventory behind when the Fayetteville location was closed last fall.
Since he acquired the property, Collier has been working with area glass shops to clean out the supply of glass, tools, furniture and other items left behind.
