The 110-room Country Inn & Suites in Rogers has been sold, and the new owner is planning a substantial renovation of the property.

Hotel management company Helix Hospitality, headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Villa Park, closed July 22 on a $4.19 million purchase of the hotel at 4304 W. Walnut St.

The purchase equates to $38,090 per room.

The Raymond Group of Wisconsin, which developed the property and has been its only owner, was the seller. The land (1.9 acres) was purchased in 2005 for $1.19 million, and the four-story building was built the following year.

J.R. Patel, the chief operating officer at Helix, did not disclose details of the renovation plan, but said the hotel would remain open during the process, with minimal impact to guests.

Lance Duncan will remain the hotel’s general manager.

Helix now owns two hotels in Benton County. The company acquired the 115-unit Comfort Suites at 2011 S.E. Walton Blvd. in Bentonville for $5.3 million in February 2014. Jeremy Tucker is the general manager there.

Amanda Webb, previously the sales director at Comfort Suites, has taken on an expanded role with Helix as the area sales director of both Benton County properties.

Helix Hospitality’s portfolio now includes six properties in four states.
