A Chicago-based hospitality company that bought a Bentonville hotel last year is closing in on a deal to purchase an asset in Rogers.

A real estate source tells Whispers that Helix Hospitality is set to purchase the 110-room Country Inn & Suites at 4304 W. Walnut St.

The deal, as we understand it, is in the final stages, and should be done before the end of July.

Country Inn, currently owned by The Raymond Group of Wisconsin, generated $1.67 million in room revenue in 2014 (see list on Page 9), up 52 percent from $1.10 million in 2010.

Helix, through an entity called Bentonville Holdings LLC, paid $5.3 million in February 2014 for the 115-unit Comfort Suites at 2011 S.E. Walton Blvd. in Bentonville

J.R. Patel, Helix’s president and COO, had no comment for Whispers on the pending purchase, but added he would reach out when the time is appropriate.
