Ozark Beer Co. of Rogers Ups Capacity

Rogers-based Ozark Beer Co. announced July 2 it is ramping up production by 50 percent with the installation of three 30-barrel tanks shipped in from Karbach Brewing Co. in Texas.

While increased production is good news for the brewery, it doesn’t necessarily mean Ozark will start shipping beer to outlets beyond Washington and Benton counties.

“Our backlog of restaurants in Northwest Arkansas alone is almost longer than the locations that currently serve Ozark Beer,” said Marty Shutter, Ozark’s marketing chief. “I’m not sure this will be enough.”

The new tanks bring the total to nine, each of them 13.5 feet tall and holding over 900 gallons. Ozark said the new capacity necessitated the hiring of new emloyees, and a new brewer, Jesse Gagnon.

Founded in 2013 by brew master Andy Coates, Ozark features five beers: two ales, two stouts and a Belgian.
