Four radio stations based in Springdale have relocated their studios to new office space.

Hog Sports Radio ESPN 99.5, KFMD-FM “Classic Hits 101.5,” “The Voice 105.3,” and KCYT-FM “Coyote Country 96.7” began broadcasting from 2704 American St., just off Arapaho Drive.

Jay Bunyard, owner of Bunyard Broadcasting Inc. of De Queen, is the owner of the stations, as well as 18 others across Arkansas. He bought the American Drive property from Leo Montgomery in March for $245,000. Montgomery acquired the property one year ago for $155,000. United Bank of Springdale was the seller.

Bunyard’s four Springdale stations had been originating from 1,500-SF of leased space in a building at 2250 W. Sunset Ave. since August 2008. Bunyard said radio operations then included one AM station and four employees. The number of local employees is now 16.

“As you can imagine, we were bursting at the seams,” he said. “The new building  is more than 4,200 SF and we love it.”

Arvest Bank of Fayetteville financed the building purchase with a $200,000 loan.

BBI is managed locally by regional vice president Grant Smith and general manager Dan Stoors.
