ICARE Conference Coming To Rogers This Summer
A national event to raise awareness and provide an educational update to front-line emergency health care practitioners will be held this summer in Rogers.
The ICARE Conference is scheduled July 10–12 at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center. The event is held annually throughout the country, but as the host this year, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) chose Northwest Arkansas as the site.
Other institutions that are planning the event include the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the Arkansas Trauma Education and Research Foundation.
ICARE is an acronym for Improving Critical and Acute Care Through Regional Education. As such, the target audience includes an interprofessional audience of health care and public health professionals, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, EMS, health/medical educators, and other allied health care professionals.
The focus is on acute and critical care research in a variety of settings, ranging from pre-hospital to emergency department to critical care units.
A UAMS spokesperson said the conference is expected to draw about 150 attendees.
Registration information is available by calling 501-661-7962 or at the website www.icareconference.com.
