Arvest Blog an Active Part of Banks Community Relations

In its eighth year, a blog maintained by Fayetteville-chartered Arvest Bank is still going strong.

Populated with information from industry and government sources, and from associates and bank departments, the blog gives readers a mix of national and local news.

The blog began in 2008 as a way to feature the bank’s involvement in the local community, but over time, it has evolved.

“We’ve since expanded our content to include personal finance information, lifestyle tips, small business management suggestions, and company announcements,” said Lacey Manning, social media community manager for Arvest since 2012. “Utilizing internal and external expertise helps us be a one-stop source for many financial questions as well as feature the heart of our bank — the communities we serve.”

A recent blog post, “7 Ways to Slice Wedding Expenses,” is sure to gain a lot of attention this time of year. And Neddie Suskie, a senior vice president and consumer loan manager at Arvest, in March published a three-part series titled “Overcoming Financial Myths.”

A steady stream of blogs and information are also featured on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest.

The blog portal appears on the bank’s homepage at www.arvest.com.
