JUNK Brands Adding Hairnets?
On Page 17, contributor Robin Mero shares some great insight into the rising Bentonville company JUNK Brands, co-founded by Kourtney and Beau Barrett. The company was launched in 2012 and designs, manufactures and sells high-performance headbands, ear warmers and other fitness gear.
The company did nearly $1.4 million in sales last year, and its product diversification is ongoing. The Barretts, we’re told, now have a patent pending on ProNet, described as a comfortable and dignified replacement for hairnets used in the food service industry.
ProNet is being tested in local Chick-fil-A restaurants. Kourtney Barrett said the idea came to her while observing a deli worker; she envisioned her headband morphing into a headband-hairnet.
