Core Brewing Expanding to Fayetteville, Har-Ber Meadows

Though his first attempt to expand into Fayetteville fizzled, Jesse Core, owner of Core Brewing and Distilling Co. in Springdale, remained undaunted.

It looks as if his perseverance is paying off. A Whispers source told us Core is about to sign a lease agreement on a 1,700-SF brew pub in the 3700 block of Mall Avenue, on the Mud Creek Trail across the street from Noodle’s Italian Kitchen.

If all goes to plan, Core could be serving suds there as early as May.

According to published reports, Core is also looking to shore up his own backyard in Springdale. The beer maker is in the process of opening a 2,000-SF brew pub in the Har-Ber Meadows area west of Interstate 49, in the same development that includes Harps Food Stores, Onyx Coffee Labs, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Perhaps the most intriguing possibility tied to Core is that he will open a brew pub in the Ryan’s Clothing Store building on Emma Avenue, which, as you know, was bought by the Walton family interests last year.

Whispers was also told a coffee shop, alongside the brew pub, would open in the location. We’ve heard it could be Onyx, or perhaps even Pontiac Coffee House.

Stay tuned.
