Just in time for baseball season, an Oklahoma businessman has invested in a bustling area of south Fayetteville near Baum Stadium at the University of Arkansas.

Raymond Merrill of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, through his 12M Commercial Properties LLC, bought the 17,360-SF strip center at 1545 W. 15th St. known as University Village Center.

The price? $1.9 million. Foghorn’s and La Hacienda are the primary tenants of the building, which was built in 2008.

Fayetteville-based Signature Bank of Arkansas was the seller, and also backed the purchase with a 10-year mortgage of $1.7 million.

In Benton County, a medical office building in the Metro Park North area of Rogers is now tenant-owned after a recent sale worth $4.15 million.

Dr. Cheryl Hull and her husband, Dr. Don Ewing, bought the 20,000-SF building at 599 S. Horsebarn Road.

CHR Properties LLC, led by Hunter Haynes, was the seller.

The first floor of the building, which sits near Horsebarn Trailhead Park, is occupied by Hull Aesthetics and the Northwest Arkansas Clinical Trials Center, both owned by Hull.

Expansion of those ventures seems logical, and we’re always happy to see business expansion.
