Retired P&G Executive Named President, COO of 8th & Walton
Retired Procter & Gamble executive Darrell Rosen has been named president and COO of Bentonville-based supplier development firm 8th & Walton.
According to the hiring announcement Jan. 5, Rosen spent 28 years in leadership positions for P&G before retiring in February 2014.
Rosen’s most recent title was senior account executive of the pet care division, and prior to that he was the associate director of human resources for P&G’s Wal-Mart Stores Inc. business. While at P&G, he also led both line and staff organizations.
Rosen has also successfully owned and managed several entrepreneurial ventures, and before that, worked alongside his father to grow and then sell a successful chain of small grocery stores. The group was part of the Lucky 7 store chain and operated as Rosen and Son Inc. Fresh Grocery.
Rosen will report directly to 8th & Walton CEO Jeff Clapper and handle the company’s day-to-day operations. 8th & Walton was formed in 2006 to provide classroom training on how suppliers can better do business with Walmart. The company has grown from a handful of classes in Northwest Arkansas to virtual classes that are taught online and throughout the country.
8th & Walton also announced the hiring of Katia Colston as senior director of sales, focusing on supplier development. Colston began her career with Walmart and has 14 years of experience working for consumer packaged goods companies.
