Latest Mercy Clinic Dedicated in Centerton

Mercy Northwest Arkansas dedicated its newest clinic Tuesday morning in Centerton, capping a flurry of activity the last couple of weeks.
The opening of Mercy Centerton at 1225 E. Centerton Blvd. marks Mercy’s third clinic opening in November.
Mercy integrated with health care providers Dr. Lawrence J. Schemel and the Northwest Arkansas Clinic for Families at 1110 W. Robinson Ave. in Springdale, marking Mercy’s entrance into the Washington County market. The clinic officially opened as Mercy on Nov. 10.
On Nov. 18, a dedication was held for Mercy Downtown Rogers, a 7,500-SF facility at 613 N. 2nd St. It houses 15 Mercy co-workers and four new providers, including three family medicine doctors and one family medicine nurse practitioner.
The Centerton development, a 7,351-SF multispecialty facility, is situated on 6.2 acres of commercial frontage donated by Johnelle Hunt. The building houses five providers, including two internal medicine and two pediatric physicians, one family medicine doctor and two family medicine nurse practitioners, with a focus on caring for the entire family.
The facility also offers cardiology, on-site radiology and laboratory services.
In the past year, according to a news release, Mercy has opened more than 50,000 SF of expanded care with 36 new Mercy providers.
The total investment is more than $20 million, according to the release.
“Yes, it is a lot of rapid growth,” said Dr. Stephen Goss, president of Mercy Clinic Northwest Arkansas. “However, it all comes down to one thing for us: what is best for the patient. Research shows people really do not want to drive more than 14 minutes to reach health care for their families. After analyzing traffic studies and growth within our community, we know the placement of each of these clinics will improve lives because we have improved accessibility and services for patients.”
