NOARK, UA Global Campus Partnering for Conference
The Northwest Arkansas Human Resources Association (NOARK) is partnering with the University of Arkansas Global Campus to host SuperCon 2014 on Nov. 13 at the Holiday Inn in Springdale.
The leadership training event is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is for front-line supervisors and managers of small to mid-size companies.
Sara Staley, branch manager of Staffmark in Bentonville who serves as NOARK’s public relations chairwoman, said 14 speakers have been confirmed for the event.
“This is the second year we’ve put this on, and we got a lot of very favorable feedback last year,” she said. “The content is very relatable to those frontline positions and it’s a great opportunity to present to local companies, where they can send their people at an affordable rate.”
Staley said last year’s event drew about 125 attendees representing 60 companies.
Mike Malone, president and CEO of the nonprofit Northwest Arkansas Council, will deliver a presentation during lunch, with a topic of leading in one of the nation’s fastest-growing metropolitan areas.
Registration for the event is ongoing. For more information, contact Judith Tavano, director of professional development programming at the UA Global Campus and NOARK’s conference committee chairwoman, at [email protected] or visit noark.org.
NOARK has been providing service to the human resources community of Northwest Arkansas since 1971 as a nonprofit organization with membership of more than 350 HR professionals, and more than 175 companies represented.
