Media Moves

Bentonville entrepreneur Matt Fifer has launched a new media company, ramping up to produce a new retail-oriented television show early next year.

Fifer tells us he and business partner Derek Ridenoure created Vendorville Media to be a standalone media production, distribution and monetization arm for another of Fifer’s new projects, a mentorship-driven company called Selling to the Masses, which Fifer says works with early-stage consumer product companies to help get their products to the shelves of the country’s top retailers, and then stay there.

Fifer says the Masses idea is not associated with 8th and Walton, which he co-founded in 2007 to help suppliers be more effective in their dealings with Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Fifer stepped away from day-to-day operations there about six months ago to focus on Masses and Vendorville. He kept further details close to the vest, at least for now.

“We will be making an announcement in the weeks to come,” he told Whispers. “What we have planned is actually far more exciting.”
