An alum of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 will be the featured speaker at the publication’s 18th annual Forty Under 40 event.

Shelley Simpson, chief marketing officer of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., president of J.B. Hunt Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS) and Truck, and executive vice president of the parent company, will give the keynote speech and also meet privately with this year’s honorees.

The luncheon is scheduled for Aug. 19 at the Embassy Suites in Rogers. InTrust Bank is the sponsor.

The Business Journal annually honors 40 individuals under the age of 40 who were nominated as best in class by their peers in all industries.

Simpson, a Russellville native, has been with J.B. Hunt since graduating from the University of Arkansas in 1994 and her career has included positions in various business segments.

She was president of the company’s ICS division when honored as a Forty Under 40 class member in 2009. The ICS unit provides truck brokerage services for the transportation company.

In 2011, Simpson was appointed as the company’s chief marketing officer.

In 2014, she also assumed the position of president of J.B. Hunt’s truck division.

Simpson is also a board member for the Rogers-based nonprofit WorkMatters, and is devoted to causes related to promoting women in the workplace.
