Late last year, you may recall, we told you the owners of the Chancellor Hotel had let go of longtime general manager Alex Jerde, who had been employed on the property since the early 1990s, when it was the Hilton and later the Cosmopolitan.

We’ve recently heard Jerde is still in the market, hired as the general manager for the new Hilton Garden Inn & Conference Center that is currently under construction near the Wedington Road exit in Fayetteville, just off Interstate 540.

Krushiker Hospitality Group Inc., a Springdale-based hotel management and development company, turned dirt in July on the $12 million development, and the construction should wrap up by early fall.
