Mike Malone Joins Arvest Board of Directors
Arvest Bank of Fayetteville announced Thursday that Mike Malone, president and CEO of the Northwest Arkansas Council, has joined the bank’s board of directors.
Malone, a Fayetteville resident, has severed as the council’s president for more than eight years. The Northwest Arkansas Council is a private, nonprofit organization established in 1990. Its mission is to act as a catalyst and collaborator for finding solutions to the opportunities and challenges facing this thriving region, according to its website.
Before joining the council, Malone was employed by the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate and worked in the White House under the Clinton administration for several years.
He is a member of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Arkansas program and serves on numerous state and local boards, according to a news release from the bank.
“[Malone] has demonstrated key leadership and a deep concern for the betterment of the region while serving at the Northwest Arkansas Council,” said Arvest president and CEO Donny Story. “We know he will bring the same type of concern and leadership to our board.”
