Daisy Commemorates Christmas Classic

Rogers-based manufacturer Daisy Outdoor Brands is offering a limited anniversary edition of the BB gun popularized in the holiday movie classic “A Christmas Story.”

The Red Ryder has a compass and sundial in the stock, just like in the movie. This year’s special model, called “A Christmas Dream,” commemorates the 30-year anniversary of the 1983 movie starring Peter Billingsley as Ralph Parker, a nine-year-old Indiana boy who wants one thing for Christmas: a Red Ryder BB gun.

The gun features a solid walnut stock and forearm, a retro package and a certificate of authenticity. Each gun bears a unique number, engraved on the forearm, with only 2,500 of the guns being made.
