Humble Great Descriptor for Sprouse

If you know Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse then you know he’s a businessman, a family man, a terrific singer, and on occasion, a biker.

In office since 2009, Sprouse can be tough when needed, and in turn, humble.

And that was the case on Oct. 23 when the big announcement was made that South Coast Baking Co., a California-based cookie dough maker, was opening a facility in Springdale.

He tried to downplay his role in South Coast’s decision to come to his town.

But he was just being humble. Turns out, Sprouse met with South Coast principals the first time they came to Springdale and was responsible for making company officials, who had offers from other towns, feel welcome.
