Car Dealer Emerges in Harrison

Former Bentonville car dealer Clay Maxey has landed on his feet as the new owner of a Ford dealership in Harrison.

Maxey took over the dealership from Hudspeth Motors Inc. in late August, and the 10-acre development at the corner of the Highway 62-65 Bypass is now known as Clay Maxey Ford.

Maxey, you may remember, was minority owner and general manager of Everett Maxey Buick GMC in Bentonville until his exit in late May. The dealership has since been renamed without the Maxey name.

Maxey told the daily newspaper in Harrison that Bill Knight, who runs the largest Ford dealership in Oklahoma, is a minority partner in the Harrison dealership, as is Knight’s attorney, Kirk Turner.
