Beall Barclay & Co. Celebrates 50 Years

Beall Barclay & Co. PLC of Fort Smith recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with open house celebrations at its two Northwest Arkansas offices.
An event was held Sept. 19 in Fort Smith at 3101 S. 70th St., and on Sept. 26 in Rogers at 2005 W. Elm St.
The Fort Smith side of Beall Barclay began as Vail & Beall CPAs in November 1963 and later became Beall & Co. PLC in 1990.
Dick Barclay, now retired but still a consultant to the firm, started the Rogers side of the company in 1961 as a partnership with his brother. The firm became Barclay, Yarbrough and Evans in 1985.
The two companies merged in 1997.
Today, Beall (pronounced bell) Barclay & Co. is the largest accounting firm in Northwest Arkansas (see list page 12), with a combined 54 professional staff members at its offices in Rogers and Fort Smith, including 32 CPAs.
