Street No Longer CEO of Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas

Scott Street is no longer the president and CEO of Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas, according to a news release issued Wednesday.

Street announced to hospital staff and physicians he has accepted a new role within the organization.

Street will focus on several projects, according to the news release, including the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Eric Pianalto will be interim president while the search process for Street’s successor takes place.

Pianalto is chief operating officer of Mercy Clinic in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He joined the organization in 1994 and has served in leadership roles in Fort Smith, Northwest Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as in support of Mercy’s four-state health ministry.

Street was named president and CEO in March 2010. He had previously served as president and CEO of Duncan (Okla.) Regional Hospital since 2003.
