‘Last Chance’ In Name Only

With voters in Benton County recently ending its longstanding alcohol drought, the cleverly named Last Chance Liquors, on Elm Springs Road off Interstate 540, is no longer the last chance to buy booze at the border when heading north out of Washington County.

So Whispers is wondering if the Springdale store has any plans to change its name, or just roll with it.

Jim Phillips, president of the Springdale Liquor Association, declined to talk with us about the possibility.

Regardless, we’ll be keeping an eye out for new signage as we drive by.
