Rolf Wilkin, founder of the Fayetteville-based trade exchange called Local Trade Partners LLC, wrote in a recent newsletter to members that a new form has been developed to address the needs of both buyers and sellers in its construction, building services and supplies category.

With input from a trade exchange called Trade First — the largest in the nation — LTP developed a contracting request form that members will submit to the LTP office before starting a building or remodeling project.

“This form allows the buyer and seller to have a clear understanding of the scope of the project,” Wilkin wrote in the newsletter. “Our brokers are involved early on so we can assist both parties.”

An editable PDF version of the form may be downloaded from the exchange’s website, localtradepartners.com, and emailed to [email protected].

LTP’s construction, building services and supplies category has 49 member businesses and contractors, which provide services to other members who pay with the exchange’s trade dollars. Sales tax and any tips are paid in cash.

Founded in December 2009, LTP has more than 750 members, according to its website. These include restaurants, hotels, clothing stores, dentists, veterinarians, and businesses offering professional services such as advertising and accounting.
