Coachs Quarters No Surprise

Wondering where new Arkansas Razorbacks head football coach Bret Bielema is calling home?

Why, it’s Fayetteville’s Bridgewater Estates subdivision, of course.

The 30-lot subdivision on the east side of town is also the address of current UA baseball coach Dave Van Horn and basketball coach Mike Anderson. Former Hog coaches John Pelphrey and Bobby Petrino also owned homes there.

Former UA track and field All-American and Olympic gold medalist Mike Conley lives there, too, having paid $1.39 million for a home there in 2010.

According to records at the Washington County courthouse, Bielema and his wife, Jen, closed on a home on East Maywood Drive last month.

The price? $1.5 million. The seller? Tyson Foods Inc. executive Elmer Vazquez and his wife, Gloria.

The 5,723-SF home was built in 2011, and appraised last year for $1.14 million.

In case you wondered, Bret Bielema’s former residence — a 6,007-SF home in the Madison, Wis., suburb of Fitchburg— is on the market for $995,000.
