Your Whispers staff wondered that, too, which led us to 2651 Quarry Lane at the southeastern border of Tontitown. The 9,126-SF home built in 2005 sold for $1.85 million in August.
Washington County appraisers valued the home at $1.45 million in 2010.
In Benton County, the most expensive home sale of the year was at 37 Pinnacle Drive in Rogers. The 5,168-SF estate home, built last year, also sold in August for $1.3 million — oddly enough, $100,000 more than the list price.
In total, the combined value of the 10 most expensive homes sold last year in Washington County was $12.16 million.
In Benton County, the combined value of the top 10 was $10.57 million.
