Bank Buzz Involves Husong

The search for a new president at First National Bank of Rogers has ended.

Whispers hears Rob Husong is the choice to succeed Guy Cable.

Husong has been Bentonville market president for Fayetteville-based Signature Bank of Arkansas for the last eight years. He was a senior vice president at Arvest Bank for six years before that.

Cable, you may recall, resigned suddenly from FNB Rogers, a division of First National Bank of Fort Smith, in late December.

You can expect Husong, who is a product of the University of Arkansas’ Sam M. Walton College of Business, to begin his new job before the end of the month.

Cable, we heard, has signed on in an unknown capacity with Grand Savings Bank in Grove, Okla.
