Branching Out in Bentonville

Considering the number of bank branches in the state dropped by about 40 between June 30, 2011, and June 30, 2012, we figure some kudos are in order for First Security Bank.

FSB, best we can tell, will open the only new bank branch in Northwest Arkansas this year when its new Bentonville location gets up and running. That most likely will be in early December, according to Mike Power, First Security’s COO of Benton County.

The new branch, which was approved Oct. 17, will be at 2501 E. Central Ave. That’s the home of a White Oak Station that used to house a First Federal Bank branch.
