NanoMech Wins Award from Leading Trade Organization

Springdale-based NanoMech Inc. has been given the 2012 Top Emerging Nano Innovators Award by a leading trade group.
The NanoBusiness Commercialization Association recognized NanoMech as “a clear leader in converting massive brainpower and applied research to market-ready products,” according to a news release.
The NanoBCA is dedicated to promoting the advancement and commercialization of nanotechnology. NanoMech commercialized two nano-engineered product platforms — TuffTek and TriboTuff — in 2012.
TuffTek is a coating for cutting tool inserts and wear parts made of carbides, metals and ceramics. TriboTuff is an industrial lubricant that reduces friction and wear of mechanical parts in machines, vehicles and components such as valves and gears.
