Fleming Joins Jingit Board

John Fleming, a former chief merchandising officer for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and president and CEO of Walmart.com, has joined the advisory board of Jingit, a Minnesota tech firm that pays people to watch video advertisements online.
Fleming worked for Wal-Mart from 2001 to 2010 after serving as chief merchandising officer for Target Corp.
A leader, along with recently retired Eduardo Castro-Wright, of the Bentonville retailer’s “Project Impact,” he left the company after the strategy to reduce the number of items it carries in stores resulted in a drop in sales.
