Arbitron Changes Its Criteria For Reporting Audience Share

Arbitron Inc., the Maryland-based research firm that compiles and reports audience estimates for all radio stations in its surveyed markets, changed its reporting policy in April, said Kim Myers, the company’s senior media manager.

Starting with the Spring 2012 ratings period, the estimates, or share, will only be reported to stations that subscribe to this service. That’s why the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s list of radio stations on Page 10 only ranks five stations — the four owned by Clear Channel Communications and KAKS-FM, owned by Hog Radio Inc.
