Celtic Grill Contents Up For Auction
The contents of a popular restaurant in Bentonville will be offered for sale at public auction at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Dwayne Craig Auction Service of Gravette has been contracted to conduct a liquidation auction of the Celtic Grill restaurant at 911 S.E. 28th St. Craig will charge a buyer’s premium of 10 percent on each purchase.
Everything is available, Craig said. Items include all restaurant furnishings, equipment, flatware and cookware.
Also up for bid are televisions and wall mounts, a Cyberview security system, miscellaneous Irish décor items, neon signs, Sony stereo system and Honda power washer.
The restaurant, in business since May 2005, closed at the end of April following the sudden death of Charlie Nyborg, the owner/operator.
Nyborg, 58, died April 26. An announcement posted April 29 on the restaurant’s Facebook page read, in part, “The Celtic Grill has closed its doors and we will no longer be able to give you the great service and hospitality that we once so enjoyed. Please understand this was not an easy decision for us to make.”
The restaurant was operating under a three-year lease with Charlton Development LLC of Bentonville.
