Preschool Center Opening in Rogers
A new preschool facility in Rogers will begin classes Oct. 3.
An open house is scheduled Sept. 22 in advance of the opening of Kindergrove Preschool and Child Development Center at 2879 W. Walnut St.
The 9000-SF building was leased through its owner, Bob Dobbs of Bella Vista, for $6.50 per SF. It formerly housed part of the Benton County School for the Arts.
“It has large classrooms and two large bathrooms, so the building really needed only a few minimal changes,” said Laura Treptow, the preschool’s co-owner along with Sonia Keith.
Treptow said the facility has room for an enrollment of 60 children, ranging from six weeks to pre-K. The preschool will operate year-round and employ seven lead teachers, not including support staff.
Treptow and Keith, both with backgrounds in education, are the facility’s co-directors. They formed Kindergrove because of their passion for working with children.
“Honestly, it’s just having a passion for the learning child,” Treptow said. “We love children and a child that is learning is fun.”
In addition to preschool curriculum, Kindergrove will offer extracurricular activities in the afternoon including Spanish, art studies, gardening, yoga, Bible classes and sports.
Dave Burris of Mangold Burris Architecture in Rogers is handling the design and code compliance.
Craig Hull, president of Hull & Company Commercial Real Estate in Rogers, handled the leasing transaction.
