Baldor Electric Acquires Former Transport Company Property

A 32.9-acre former transport facility in Fort Smith has a new owner after a $7 million sale.

Baldor Electric Co. of Fort Smith bought the property at 7501 Jenny Lind Drive. The seller was C. Bean Transport Creditors Trust, led by trustees Gary M. McDonald, Thomas E. Robertson and Bradley D. Jesson.

The facility formerly housed C. Bean Transport Inc., which shut down in March 2010 after declaring bankruptcy. C. Bean is based in Amity in southwest Arkansas.

The Jenny Lind property features a two-story building with 16,500 SF of office space, a 20,500-SF truck repair facility with six bays, a parts warehouse and a truck washing facility, and 146,000 SF of warehouse space.

The listing price was $8.7 million.

Sage Partners in Fayetteville and Dallas-based Swearingen Realty Group LLC represented the seller. Nunnellee & Wright of Fort Smith represented the buyer.

 

ARC Building in St. James Park

ARC Construction & Development Inc. of Centerton, led by Ralph Walker and his sons Alan and Carl, recently purchased eight building permits valued at a combined $1.4 million.

The permits are for the construction of eight single-family homes. Six of the homes are in the St. James Park subdivision of Fayetteville at 4573 and 4581 W. Silvermist Place and 2302, 2285, 2312 and 2284 N. Cornwall Ave.

The subdivision is west of the Clabber Creek subdivision off Mount Comfort Road.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes will be about 1,900 SF and list for $179,900.

The other two homes are in the Grace Addition subdivision just west of Elm Tree Road in Bentonville at 704 and 706 S.W. Cabriolet St.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes will be about 1,600 SF and list for $149,900.

Advanced Dermatology Making Move

A Fayetteville dermatology clinic has a new home after a $935,000 transaction.

YDR Land Co. LLC, led by Dr. Lance Henry, bought a 10,600-SF building on 1.53 acres at 1444 E. Stearns St. near Joyce Boulevard in Fayetteville. The seller was Enterprise Bank & Trust Inc. of Clayton, Mo.

The transaction was funded by a private entity. First National Title Co. of Fayetteville closed the sale.

The building will be the new home of Advanced Dermatology and Skin Care Center, owned by Henry. The business is currently at 2594 E. Joyce Blvd.
