Setting the Standard
Rogers-based builder Stitt Energy Systems has committed to having all its homes energy rated and marketed using the Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Ratings Standards index.
As Whispers understands it, the company is the first builder in Arkansas to make such a commitment. It will work with the Residential Energy Services Network, which created the federally recognized standards, to promote improved home energy performance and home energy ratings of new homes.
“This will clearly differentiate homes built by Stitt Energy Systems and put competitive pressure on the new-home industry in the Arkansas and Missouri markets to follow suit,” a Stitt release stated.
