Grundfest Eyes July Opening for Sixth TRG Facility

Dave Grundfest Co. Inc., with headquarters in Little Rock, recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.5 million.

The permit is for the construction of a scrap metal recycling plant at 3459 N. Arkansas St., in northeast Rogers.

Tenenbaum Recycling Group LLC of North Little Rock, led by chairman Harold Tenenbaum and president and CEO Jack Grundfest, will open its sixth recycling center at the site, located across U.S. Highway 62 from Rogers Municipal Airport-Carter Field.

Site preparation is under way and the facility is scheduled for a July opening. TRG Rogers LLC will employ approximately 75.

Rogerscrap LLC, led by Jack Grundfest, bought the 19.82-acre property in July 2008 for $485,000. The seller was Overland Development Co. of Rogers. Paul Esterer of Grubb & Ellis Solomon Partners represented the buyer.

The property last assessed in 2009 for $431,700.

 

Fayetteville High Project Forging Ahead

Nabholz Construction Corp. of Rogers recently purchased a building permit valued at $26 million.

The permit is for the continued renovation project of Fayetteville High School at 1001 W. Stone St. in Fayetteville. The permit will allow the multi-phase project to go vertical with construction. Initial work began in November.

Hight-Jackson Associates PA of Rogers, Marlon Blackwell Architect of Fayetteville and DLR Group of Overland Park, Kan., will all have a hand in the building designs.

Nabholz has been doing the dirt work and concrete work.

McClelland Consulting Engineers Inc. of Fayetteville is the civil engineer.

DLR Group and Tatum-Smith Engineers Inc. of Rogers are the structural engineers.

DLR Group is the mechanical engineer.

Other subcontractors include Walker Masonry & Sons Inc. of Prairie Grove; Marrs Electric Inc. of Springdale; and Johnson Mechanical Contractors Inc. of Fayetteville. w
