Fans of Five Guys Burgers and Fries will be happy to know a franchise store is coming to Promenade Pointe Shopping Center in Rogers.

The restaurant will be at 2011 Promenade Blvd., in a standalone building next to the one housing TCBY and Qdoba Mexican Grill, Colliers International leasing agent Alan Cole said.

Promenade Pointe, owned by The Hunt Group, is just north of the Pinnacle Hills Promenade and currently under construction. The development will consist of four street-front retail buildings facing Promenade Boulevard. Another existing tenant is Kate Austin Jewelry and Gifts.

Five Guys doesn’t release the expected opening date of its stores until a few days before they open, its website states.

This will be the company’s first location in Northwest Arkansas. It currently has two stores in the Little Rock area. The menu focuses on all-beef burgers, although it includes hot dogs, sandwiches and hand-cut french fries in regular and Cajun-style.

Laurie Lowe of Virginia is the franchisee for the Rogers location.

To be considered as a Five Guys franchisee, applicants must have a net worth of around $1.3 million and liquid assets around $500,000, along with food and beverage industry experience and “a passion for burgers and fries,” the company’s website states.

There’s a franchise fee of $25,000 per restaurant and a development fee of $50,000. Build-out costs range from $200,000-$500,000.

The Virginia-based company, founded in 1986, has more than 750 locations in more than 40 states and four Canadian provinces, according to its website.
